10" Yellow Composite Shell, Synthetic Brazilian Flag Head, 6 Tuners.
A pandiero is probably the Samba family's most virtuosic instrument. Looks like a tambourine, but is played much differently. A good pandeiro player can play a surdo (bass) part with his/her thumb while keeping a sixteenth note ostinato with thumb, finger tip and heel of the hand. Good for 12 years and older. A pandiero should be light weight with thicker jingles than a tamborine.
